Fees for Dressings from April 2024

At the Evans Street Medical Clinic our priority is ensuring you receive quality healthcare in a supportive environment. We’re updating our billing policy to maintain the high standards of care you expect from us. Here’s what you need to know:

Bulk Billing:

• Pensioners, Healthcare Card Holders, and people under 16: Your doctor consultations are bulk billed, as part of our commitment to accessible healthcare.
• Regular Patients: Our doctors may offer bulk billing at their discretion, acknowledging our valued ongoing relationship.

Dressing Changes:

• Non-Concession Card Holders: We now privately charge for dressing changes. Consumable costs are not covered by Medicare and previously we absorbed those costs. Due to rising prices, this is no longer feasible.

Emergency and Walk-in Consultations:

• All Patients: Please note, all emergency or walk-in consultations are privately billed, regardless of concession status. This approach helps us provide efficient and comprehensive emergency care to everyone.
